Dunmore East is a working fishing village at the mouth of Waterford Harbour, about 12 km south-east of Waterford City. Population around 1,500. Thatched cottages, pastel-painted houses, cliff walk from Doneraile to Counsellor's Strand, lifeboat station. The River Suir meets the Celtic Sea here. Sailing, fishing, walking. The harbour is the heart of the village — trawlers tie up, day-boats unload, yachts anchor.
