The New Lunch Menu at The Spinnaker — Lunch in Dunmore East, Daily 1–4pm

It finally happened. The Spinnaker Bar in Dunmore East has launched a proper lunch menu, served every day from 1pm to 4pm — and it's exactly what the village has been asking for. Toasties done right from €6.95, six hot pressed paninis, wraps, lunch-sized bowls of the famous seafood chowder, and the headline act: fresh Dunmore East crab on homemade brown bread for €16. Ring Peter on (051) 383 133 or just walk down to the harbour.

Why this is a big deal

For years, lunch in Dunmore East meant hoping the kitchen was doing food that day. Now it's official and daily: 1pm to 4pm, seven days. You can plan around it — walk the cliff path in the morning, be at the harbour for a lunch that's actually cooked in the village, by the man who runs the bar.

What's on it

The lunch menu runs from quick and cheap to properly special:

Toasted sandwiches — Ham & Cheese €6.95, or the Toasted Special (ham, cheese, tomato, red onion) €7.95. A proper toastie, done right.

Six paninis, pressed hot — Ham & Cheese €9.50, Italian (salami, tomato, mozzarella) €9.95, Cajun Chicken €9.95, Tuna €9.95, Chicken with stuffing €10.50, and the Provence (roasted red peppers, goats' cheese, basil pesto) €10.95.

Wraps — Greek Salad €9.95 or Cajun Chicken €9.95.

Open sandwiches on homemade brown bread — oak-smoked salmon with capers and lemon €12, or the one everyone will talk about: fresh Dunmore East crabmeat, €16, landed by the boats you can see from your table.

Lunch starters if you want to make an afternoon of it — homemade soup €7, Greek salad €10, prawn cocktail €12, wings €13, mussels in chorizo and sherry cream €13.95, and the Dunmore East seafood chowder €13.50.

Every panini, wrap and sandwich comes with a side salad, and gluten-free bread is there for the asking. Sides — homemade chips, salad, garlic ciabatta — are €5. The full menu is on the menu page.
