Toasties, Paninis and Wraps: The Spinnaker's New Lunch Lineup
Not every lunch needs to be an event. Sometimes it's 2pm, you're salty from the beach, and what you want is a hot pressed panini and a pot of tea — or a toastie and a quiet pint. The Spinnaker's new lunch menu (daily, 1–4pm) nails that middle ground: toasted sandwiches from €6.95, six paninis from €9.50, wraps at €9.95, every one with a side salad thrown in.
The toasties
Two, done properly on the grill: Ham & Cheese €6.95 and the Toasted Special €7.95 — ham, cheese, tomato and red onion. At €6.95 it's the cheapest hot lunch in the village, and it comes with a salad.
The paninis
Six of them, pressed hot to order: Ham & Cheese €9.50 · Italian €9.95 (real salami, tomato, mozzarella) · Cajun Chicken €9.95 (with mixed peppers and mayo) · Tuna €9.95 (sweetcorn, mayo, mozzarella) · Chicken €10.50 (with stuffing — the hangover one) · Provence €10.95 (roasted red peppers, goats' cheese, basil pesto — the one for the person who says they don't like paninis).
The wraps
Greek Salad Wrap €9.95 — served cold, feta and olives and lemon-oregano vinaigrette — and the Cajun Chicken Wrap €9.95 with peppers and red onion.
Gluten-free bread works on any of them. Add homemade chips (€5) if the walk earned it. Full menu on the menu page; the fancier end — fresh crab on brown bread — gets its own write-up.
